AIRSYS won two awards in “2014 China Modern Data Center Infrastructure Construction Technology Annual Meeting”
The subsystem of data center infrastructure with highest energy consumption is the cooling system; the cooling system, mainly composed of cold source and computer-room air conditioner, guarantees the operation of data center in a reliable manner. At the gracious invitation of the organizing committee of “2014 China Modern Data Center Infrastructure Construction Technology Annual Meeting”, Airsys took part in the Fourth Data Center Annual Meeting recently, during which, it shared its latest technology and successful experience regarding data center cold source and computer-room air conditioner as well as exchanged ideas with data center peers.
Dr. Zhu Hongbo, General Manager of Business Division of Airsys Data Center, made a detailed introduction to the development history of Airsys in data center industry and proposed a new data center environmental protection cooling solution in combination with the Airsys’ successful cases in domestic and overseas data center industry in recent years; the air-cooling & natural-cooling integrated water chilling unit of Airsys patent solution (patent number: ZL2007 2 0173542.4) provides integrated cold source for computer-room air-conditioning system and realizes cooling operation throughout the year; in case of low outdoor temperature (2℃ lower than the return water temperature), cool the high temperature return water with cold air and provide cooling capacity for the data center without or partially switching on the compressor, such cooling method features more advantages compared to other ones, such as higher reliability, lower initial investment, lower operating costs, easier for maintenance, smaller floor space, easier for expansion and less consumption of water and power; the energy saving proportion is between 30%-60%, depending on the climatic conditions at the place for installation, and it is recommended for use in regions north to Yangtze River.
